Backend PHP / Laravel Microservices Developer

Role Overview & Mission

Join our Pune engineering center as a Backend Specialist. You will design, build, and optimize backend services handling millions of daily transactions. You will implement event-driven architecture with RabbitMQ/Kafka, fine-tune SQL queries, and build bulletproof authentication and billing microservices.

Primary Tech Stack & Tools

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable backend PHP code following SOLID principles and PSR standards.
• Design and implement distributed event-driven systems using RabbitMQ and Redis Pub/Sub.
• Optimize relational database schemas, query performance, and indexing in MySQL 8 and PostgreSQL.
• Build RESTful APIs and webhook integration systems for third-party payment gateways and ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver intuitive, fast-loading end-user workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of solid hands-on experience in backend development using PHP and Laravel.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, repository pattern, and service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries, transactions, locks, and database indexing.
• Experience with API authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT, Laravel Sanctum/Passport).
• Familiarity with Linux environment, Git, and Docker development workflow.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Bonus Skills

• Experience with Go or Node.js alongside PHP.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for full-text search indexing.
